SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing technical support to the manufacturing organization at our Renewal by Andersen location in Cottage Grove, MN. Primary focus combines production troubleshooting with creating a better equipment support plan to facilitate production tomorrow.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs technical support for assigned work area. (i.e. Determine test/debug procedures to follow; writes clear and accurate documentation; lead continuous improvement activities.)
  • Team member on larger scale projects with complete task responsibilities. Full responsibility for execution of small-scale expense/capital projects.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of the respective functional area/project.
  • Presents technical information or proposals to team members
  • Work with engineers/technologists to develop and evaluate materials, parts, product or process while offering insights on their improvement. Conduct testing related to materials, parts, product or process for improvements.
  • Perform root cause analysis with other technical employees, suppliers and outside experts. Coordinate laboratory, field or pre-production testing.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 2-year Technical degree or equivalent combination of formalized technical education and experience
  • Strong aptitude in process improvement and problem-solving
  • Self Starter
  • Ability to communicate cross-functionally
  • Desire to learn new process/solutions daily

NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing
  • High Mechanical aptitude
  • General PLC programming logic knowledge
  • Strong math, science, mechanical and experimental skills. Understanding of the basic principles and operation of a work area, with a growing ability to apply them in a variety of assignments

In 2023, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
