Graduate Program Manager Pharmaceutical Chemistry Full Time 73026BR Job Summary The Graduate Program Manager will oversee the Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacogenomics (PSPG) Graduate Program housed in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. The program enrolls approximately 55-70 students each year. The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing administrative operations, operational budget, human resources and facilities for each program. This position will report to the Chief Administrative Officer in Pharmaceutical Chemistry as well as the Program Directors of the PSPG program. The incumbent will be expected to administer the full range of the program's operational requirements and work with Program Directors on formulating short-term planning and procedures. The Program Manager should be receptive to advice and suggestions. The Program Manager also develops and organizes conferences and other public forums. The Program Manager will take initiative and use strong problem-solving skills to propose solutions to Program Directors and CAO for consideration and be able to effectively execute solutions once finalized. This position is eligible for flexible work. The Program Manager will be required to work on-site based on program needs and any flexible schedule will be determined by the Program Directors and CAO based on business needs. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role. For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range. Through research and teaching, the Department seeks to understand the biological principles of small molecules, proteins, and cellular design, and to apply these principles for the therapeutic benefit of patients.
