This Opportunity:

Palladium's
capital advisory team is a leading impact investment bank creating solutions
and mobilizing capital to address the world's most pressing challenges.
The team combines strengths at the intersection of impact investing,
international development and strategy consultancy. The capital advisory team
is comprised of 20 corporate finance and impact investing professionals, based broadly
in London and New York City, tackling global and local problems that require
creative, hands-on and people-focused approaches to mobilizing capital and
unlocking positive impact. There is increasing urgency to direct financial and
human capital towards social inclusion and justice and environmental
regeneration, and we are looking for resourceful, purpose-driven people to join

three broad sets of services:

based in Palladium's New York City office.

Reporting Lines:

This position
will report to Managing Director in our capital advisory services team based in
New York.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

Financial Inclusion has
long been a core pilar of our investment banking business, including in the
areas of microfinance, FinTech's and alternative lenders. We are now looking
for a professional with deep experience in the sector, to drive the further
growth in this area, to include capital raising, M&A and consulting
services.

The Director will
work closely together with the Managing Director in managing the business. In
addition, the role will interface with the wider capital advisory team and
other client-facing teams within the broader Palladium business, as well as
with the company's key support functions, such as Finance, HR and IT

Business
development

  • Develop the origination strategy for the Financial Inclusion sector
  • Establish and maintain relationships in the industry
  • Oversee the preparation of Marketing material, proposals/pitch documents
  • Lead preparation of proposals
  • Mandate
    execution and project management
  • Primary responsibility for client relationships and service delivery

Lead project management

  • Oversee the preparation of client deliverables
  • Provide oversight to project managers through project execution

Practicing building

  • Contribute to the knowledge base of the team and improvement of internal processes and tools
  • Support the raising of our profile through written thought pieces and public speaking
  • Supporting guiding and training more junior colleagues

Key Competencies Required:

  • Prior experience in financial inclusion and in a transaction environment, leading on transactions and client relationships
  • Understanding of a sell-side advisory environment, including a general understanding of investment processes
  • Prior experience in a regulated business and direct involvement with regulatory reporting
