Save Job Job Saved Applies principles of accounting to analyze diverse and complex financial information and prepares financial reports. Responsible for the accuracy, integrity, control and timeliness of financial reports, analyses, systems, and processes. May specialize in accounting and financial analysis. May have responsibility for processing weekly, monthly and quarterly payroll. Recording of Plant location and Division journal vouchers. Reconcile Divisional Balance Sheet accounts. May also have division level responsibilities for payroll. Applies principles of accounting to analyze a variety of financial information of moderate scope and complexity and preparation of Divisional and Plant financial reports. Responsibilities include: the accuracy, integrity, control and timeliness of financial reports, transactions, systems and processes. Assist in completion of all reports required by the Division or Corporate on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Provide local management with financial or statistical information to enable them to improve and control their operations. Assist in updating, maintaining, and enhancing the Division's and Plant location's internal controls so that the future financial, internal control, and Sarbanes-Oxley audits are in compliance. Monitor and maintain the Division's capital projects and fixed assets. This includes capital project translations, asset transfers, asset disposals, asset maintenance, asset inventories, and working with the Corporation's internet site to ensure maximum benefit received for potential asset sales. Analyze processes and make recommendations for improvements in throughput without comprising proper internal controls. Submit weekly payroll processing and other payroll verification activities. Meet all necessary deadlines associated with Parker payroll responsibilities for all USA employees. Monitor Division ACIP (Profit Sharing) including verification and accuracy of profit-sharing plan accruals and payments. Assist in Purchase Card and Travel Card responsibilities including providing reports, ensure use of these cards is in line with Corporate policy, monitor timeliness of expense report submissions for all cardholders within the Division. -Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Accounting. -Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through degree or more years of related experience. -3-4 years' experience with general accounting. -Proficient in spreadsheet applications, general use of intranet/internet communications and standard business software. Microsoft Office and Kronos background is a plus. -Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. -Ability to work in a Team environment and to be a Team player. -Some travel to outlying locations may be required.
