Information Technology Senior System Administrator

Overview:

Olgoonik Corporation is a robust worldwide federal contractor company that is recruiting for IT System Administrator based out of the Northern Virginia Corporate Office. The Information Technology System Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of Olgoonik Development and all subsidiaries' computer systems and networks.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, maintain and upgrade systems, software and applications, ensuring their availability, reliability, and security.
  • Provide technical support for end-users in resolving hardware and software issues, including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
  • Manage user accounts, access controls, and permissions for various systems and applications.
  • Participate in the planning, installation, implementation, and problem determination and resolution involving software programs and hardware components.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including standard operating procedures, configurations, and inventory.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure maximum uptime and user satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with federal government regulations, company policies, procedures, and other practices related to system administration.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for systems and applications.
  • Research and recommend new technologies, processes, and methodologies to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Perform regular system backups and implement data recovery procedures.
  • Interact with vendors and service providers to ensure the procurement and timely delivery of required hardware and software.
  • Work closely with IT security team to ensure that systems are compliant with NIST, CMMC, and other applicable standards and regulations.
  • Interfaces with and supports clients in the operation of the IT systems.
  • Ensures compliance with federal government regulations, company policies, procedures, and other practices.
  • Maintains and promotes a safe and secure working environment for the corporation
  • Provides overall technical support for customers related to classified and unclassified systems with the support/direction from the ISSM, Director of IT and VP
  • Interacts and executes job tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

No Supervisory responsibilities.


Education and/or Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of five years' experience in the Information Systems Field.
  • Must have solid knowledge of DoD or other US Govt Technology Support and Standards - Must have hands on experience supporting systems.
  • Must possess working knowledge of US Technology standards and Federal acquisition
  • General knowledge of government procurement protocol and procedures is preferred
  • Knowledge of NIST and CMMC preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISSM and ISSO roles preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud security preferred
  • Experience with Sage CRE 300, Sage HRMS, or other ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software.
    Must demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a Team. Must have strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills. Position requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision. Must have the ability to handle confidential information. Must be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention for detail.


Security Clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain SECRET US Government Personnel Security Clearance
    * Must be a U.S. Citizen.
    * Must be eligible for and able to obtain and maintain required Security Clearance/access approvals.
