Title: Professional Tutor - Math

Department Academic Success & Tutoring

Position Summary:

Assists students in achieving educational goals by providing individual, small group, and embedded tutoring support in mathematics courses; integrates study and learning strategies to promote learning. Maintains order in tutoring environment and manages peer tutors in absence of supervisor. Creates supplemental materials including but not limited to handouts, study guides, and tip sheets for math center staff to use with students. Other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field with a minimum 3.0 GPA in mathematics. Over one year (or equivalent) of relevant full-time experience as a tutor.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree. Math tutoring experience at a community college or university.

Salary Range:

$18.90 Per Hour
