  • We are currently hiring for a Medical Assistant (MA) or Clinical Team Assistant (CTA)

    at Maine Medical Partners Pediatric Specialty Care!

    For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Medical Assistants and CTA's:


  • 0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time) - MA
  • 1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time) - MA
  • Up to $2,500 sign on bonus for Clinical Team Assistants

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

    Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

    We are looking for a Medical Assistant, Clinical Team Assistant or LPN with a passion for pediatrics to join our Pediatric Pulmonology practice. Phlebotomy experience preferred, but willing to train. The MA will perform spirometry, nebulizers, phlebotomy, and flu vaccinations in addition to vital signs and screenings.     Position Summary - Medical Assistant

    The Medical Assistant (MA) is assigned duties and responsibilities related to patient care in a team-based ambulatory practice environment. The MA functions under the license of the provider when performing clinical and other patient care tasks. The MA must demonstrate competency in all skills related to the performance of patient care within their scope of practice and according to organizational policies, accrediting and licensing bodies.

    Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) - Medical Assistant




    1. Education: Applicants must:

      • Have graduated with an Associates Degree in Medical Assisting from an accredited college or a graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program, and completed 160 hours clinical experience acquired through an externship or working as a medical assistant, or:
      • Be credentialed and have a minimum of 1 year's clinical Medical Assisting experience in a multi-physician medical practice preferred. Other relevant clinical experience will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
      • At least 2 year's clinical Medical Assisting experience in a multi-physician medical practice
      • Approved Medical Assistant credentials are:

        • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the AAMA
        • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the AMT
        • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the NHA
        • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the NCCT




    2. License/Certifications: Current BLS required.
    3. Experience: See "Education"
    4. Ability to excel in a team-based care environment.
    5. Maintain personal and professional records that include evaluation and validation of clinical competence/proficiency, continuing education, and any certification or verification of special skill sets.
    6. Skill in time management, problem solving, multitasking, prioritizing and medical care coordination.
    7. Ability to maintain a professional manner.
    8. Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality.
    9. Proficient computer skills and knowledge of the electronic medical record.
    10. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures.



  • Position Summary - Clinical Team Assistant

    This position is responsible for performing daily patient service functions to support the clinical team in the delivery of patient care.

    Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) - Clinical Team Assistant




    1. Education: Graduate of an accredited vocational program, community college or university in the field of health sciences. Program curriculum must include patient facing experience.
    2. License/Certifications: Current BLS required or must be obtained within 3 months from start of employment.
    3. Experience: N/A
    4. Ability to excel in a team-based care environment.
    5. Working knowledge of continuous process improvement.
    6. Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures.
    7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff.
    8. Ability to organize and accomplish multiple tasks and to have the flexibility to meet changing demands on a daily basis.
    9. Ability to project a pleasant and professional image even under stressful situations
    10. Analytical ability required to gather and interpret information necessary to resolve problems.
    11. Ability to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others
    12. Proficient computer skills
    13. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
