The Beirowski lab at The Ohio State University is inviting applications for two Post-Doctoral Scholar positions in our laboratory at The Ohio State University, Wexner Medical Center, Department of Neurology amp; Neuroscience Research Institute.

For more information, visit the lab website: .

Our lab focuses on axon-glia interactions and how glial metabolism regulates axon integrity and myelination (e.g., Nature Neuroscience, PMID 32807950; Nature Neuroscience, PMID 25195104; PNAS, PMID 28484008). Current projects include in vivo and in vitro mechanistic studies on how metabolic perturbations in oligodendrocytes result in compromised axon integrity and research on metabolic adaptations in Schwann cells/oligodendrocytes that support the survival of injured axons.

The Post-Doctoral Scholar will pursue specialized research training, education, and experience under the guidance of a scientific mentor in the Department of Neurology. The Post-Doctoral Scholar will:

  • Plan, design, and execute experiments of considerable scope and complexity in the assigned research lab.
