About this Opportunity

Avnet's internship program provides students with an unprecedented work experience in a global organization. Avnet interns receive valuable hands-on projects, working in a team environment. The program allows you to gain practical insight into our business activities and internal operations. Those who are selected for our program also complete an intern learning journey that supplements the work projects with opportunities to develop your soft skills, receive documented feedback on your performance, connect with our Executive leadership and participate in networking and fun team building events.

What are we looking for in an intern?

  • Those majoring in any school of business discipline, data analytics, supply chain, engineering (sales engineering, transportation engineering, process engineering), logistics, IT, HR and finance
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (visible on your resume)
  • PC skills including: Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated leadership experience through work and school related activities
  • Interest or background in technology is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication, collaboration ad team building skills as evidenced in your experience or course work
  • Self-driven and independent, capable of working a project/assignment with clear direction while not requiring daily supervision
  • Willingness to try new things

Education and Certification(s):

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Undergraduate degree program
  • Students that have completed coursework in their fields of study; typically, those students finishing their Junior or Sophomore year by May 2023 are highly preferred

Additional Information:

  • This is a paid internship - $18/hr
  • Work schedule is 8:00am-5:00pm, M-F hybrid schedule at our Acton, MA or Chandler, AZ facility.
  • Must be available for full-time seasonal work from May 22 - August 11, 2023.
  • Selected candidate mustprovide own housing, internet access and transportation.
  • Relocation is not offered for this role.
  • Sponsorship is not offered for this role.
