Title: Success Coach Employee Classification:Part-time/Temporary Institution:Northeast State Community College Department: Inclusive Excellence Salary: $20.00 an hour, dependent on education and experience Job Summary Reporting to the Coordinator of Inclusive Excellence, the Success Coach supports students of color as they develop the skills and knowledge required for academic success. The Success Coach collaborates with student leaders and Inclusive Excellence staff to build upon and institutionalize student-led equity and inclusion initiatives designed to connect underrepresented students to internal and external resources and services. The Success Coach also provides general support for the Multicultural Center. Job Duties * Build upon and institutionalize student-led equity and inclusion initiatives that connect underrepresented students to internal and external academic and student success resources and services. * Implement year-round programming and student success activities and strategies that enhance students' academic and social experiences on campus. * Support the development, promotion, and execution of Multicultural Center programs, acquisition of resources, and identification of educational opportunities that increase student engagement and retention. * Train, supervise and mentor student workers. * Develop and implement strategies to help with the recruitment of prospective students, new student orientation, and retention of underrepresented students from semester to semester through graduation. * Collect and assess student engagement and retention data; monitor satisfactory academic progress toward graduation. * Support the development, promotion, and execution of Multicultural Center programs, acquisition of resources, and identification of educational opportunities that enhance student engagement and retention. * Maintain social media presence for programs and services in collaboration with the Inclusive Excellence, Marketing, and Community Relations Offices. * Complete other assignments as directed by immediate supervision or Vice President.
