Network Administrator/Security Engineer

We continue to grow are we're looking for a multi-faceted individual work on our Network IT & Security Team. This position will be responsible for all areas of network/firewall maintenance and support (Windows & Linux), as well as improving the company's cyber-security posture in accordance with the NIST 800-171 framework. Individual must be a self-starter with the ability to work unsupervised.

Technical Qualifications and Experience:

Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field or equivalent

Minimum of (3) years of experience as a Systems/Network/Security Administrator/Engineer

Minimum of (3) years of experience in IT Audit and Compliance

Candidate must have at least one of the following professional certifications: CISM, CEH, CISSP, CISA, Security +, or Network+

Familiarity with Windows Server, Ubuntu Server, and VMware ESXi

Familiarity with using Group Policy and Ansible for configuration management

Familiarity with NIST 800-171 Compliance, including drafting SSPs and POA&Ms

Ability to use Microsoft Office/Atlassian Confluence to draft comprehensive security policies and procedures

Familiarity with Dell Networking - creating VLANs and configuring link aggregated port-channels

Experience with FortiGate Firewall - creating and maintaining firewall policies and performing firewall log analysis

Familiarity with monitoring and maintaining automated vulnerability and patch management systems such as Nessus and Manage Engine Patch Manager Plus

Familiarity with configuring, securing, and maintaining VPNs

Familiarity with K8S (Kubernetes)

Familiarity with Kubernetes persistent storage is a plus

Storage Area Network experience is a plus

Familiarity with docker is a plus

Familiarity with CVS/GIT is a plus

Familiarity with DUO Beyond is a plus

Familiarity with Proofpoint Email Security Suite is a plus

Familiarity with Knowbe4 PAAS is a plus

Familiarity with Hashicorp Vault is a plus

Familiarity with Jenkins CI is a plus

Familiarity with CrowdStrike or any next-gen AV is a plus

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with security controls relevant to NIST 800-171, including performing an annual risk assessment for the organization, maintaining security product documentation for multiple products, developing/tuning security policies and procedures

Ensure security configuration and patch management of 40+ workstations and 250+ servers (Windows, Linux, ESXi)

Troubleshoot network/security related issues using in house SIEM and Crowd Strike Falcon Complete Managed Service and respond/react accordingly

Periodically propose new technologies in an effort to bolster security landscape and budget accordingly

Ensure that all installed applications are utilized in accordance with corporate policies and guidelines

Provide support to internal and external customers and system users as needed

Ability to work independently on project work and tasks within a team environment

Ability to communicate effectively at every level of the organization as well as with vendors and support techs

Must be able and willing to work on a rotating schedule which may include nights and weekends
