Collections Specialist

The collection specialist is responsible for the collection of outstanding account receivables, mimizing the number of days sales are outstanding and reducing number of accounts placed with third party collection agencies. The specialist supports the sales and finance organization as a main point of contact for invoice inquiries and manages billing relationships with external clients. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong communication and organizational abilities, ability to work independently and problem solve.

Responsibilities
  • Collect outstanding account receivables; process customer payments
  • Minimize AR beyond 60 days outstanding
  • Submit invoices into client invoicing portals
  • Maintain collection notes and provide summary reports to management
  • Review customer aging, credit hold status and suspend customers due to non-payment
  • Research and resolve customer issues and process necessary account adjustments and/or write-offs
  • Reduce bad debt write off
  • Prepare delinquent accounts for third party collections
