Dates: May 22 - August 3, 2023 The Student Nurse Internship Program or SNIP is an early workforce recruitment initiative offered by Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for senior nursing students completing their last two semesters of an accredited nursing program. SNIP provides aspiring nurses unique opportunities to earn premium pay while working as Nursing Students in our acute care facility that is nationally recognized as a Magnet-designated hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center, and an innovator in Cardiac Medicine. Keywords #Indeed, Student Nurse Internship Program, SNIP Job Summary RN Nursing Students are unlicensed staff members who are within two semesters of graduation from an accredited RN program They are accountable to, and work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to implement delegated aspects of nursing care. Provide patient care, support the admissions and discharge process, and comply with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional nurse. Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any change to the nursing or medical staff.Current student enrolled in clinical RN program must be within 2 semesters from graduation from accredited RN program. BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
