Senior Architect, Quality Systems

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Architect, Quality Systems has the primary responsibility for managing all quality management, document management and PLM applications through their entire life cycle. The Senior Architect will serve as a subject matter expert on all QMS topics and processes within the IT organization, manage requirement sessions, drive process optimization and automation through intelligent use of technology.

The Senior Architect will provide technical management and lend expertise to all technology efforts associated with the quality operations, product quality, quality management and risk management departments. The Senior Architect will be responsible for managing to timeline and budget, and provide guidance to technical vendors in this space.

The Senior Architect, Quality Systems is a full-time, exempt, remote position based in the US, reporting to the Associate Director, Application Design and Development.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Deliver a technology roadmap for Novocure's quality management, document management and PLM solutions
  • Oversee the design, development and delivery of complex applications to fit business needs and core business processes
  • Engage in processes improvements and BPRE efforts within the business; Identify and scope out automation opportunities
  • Lead the organization in research, development, and implementation of appropriate application solutions, design methodologies and workflows that lead to improved business performance and better attainment of goals
  • Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and propose appropriate solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirements
  • Provide the quality leadership team as well as the COO with visibility into Novocure's design strategy and technology roadmap as well as collaborate with them for their applications needs
  • Play a mentorship role to key business leads outside the IT organization and partner with key stakeholders to promote design thinking, process engineering and requirement engineering within the revenue cycle team
  • Serve as a subject matter expert within the IT organization on all applicable processes
  • Continuously assess Novocure's landscape, methodologies and tools against industry best practices and drive continuous improvement in their area
  • Lead improvement efforts as related to Novocure's applications framework, user interfaces and user experience
  • Assess new technologies and vendors to ensure Novocure's needs are being met
  • Drive and elevate the technical management processes and collaborate with the PMO organization to plan, design and execute key projects on Novocure's roadmap
  • Champions change and effectively manages the implementation of new ideas
  • Successfully execute technical design specifications, manage vendors and project timelines and budgets



QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:



  • 15+ years' experience in leading and managing large-scale QMS implementation projects and/or process optimizations in medical device manufacturing or similar industry
  • Proven ability to leverage technology to automate processes and create complex integrations
  • Experienced in requirement gathering, design thinking, specification creation and business process engineering
  • Demonstrated success in cross functional integration/relationships and execution
  • Ability to drive large-scale change and lead enterprise-wide initiatives


  • SAP expertise a must. Experience With 3-5 Full Life Cycle Implementations In SAP QM and in Complaint Handling/Reporting (NCs, CAPAs, NCMRS etc.)


  • Experience With Medical Device Or Life Sciences Beneficial
  • Experience in non-SAP based quality system - preferred
  • Experience with process optimization and automation tools - preferred


  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functionally and often in situations without direct authority
  • Experience with a broad range of technologies
  • High level of project management skills
  • Result oriented and fast learner
  • Self-directed and comfortable working in ambiguous environments
  • Excellent communication skills

The salary range for this position is:$147,000.00 - $179,000.00

Novocure considers a range of factors, including background and experience, when determining base compensation. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
