Job Summary and Qualifications

The Dietary Aide will be a competent Support Services employee who is responsible for the cleanliness, organization, and distribution of food and supplies in the Food & Nutrition Department. This role will provide excellent customer service to all patients and employees.

What you will do in this role:

  • You will assist with food preparations and ensure that the meals adhere to an individual's specific diet plans
  • You will strictly follow sanitation standards and hygiene procedures to guarantee the safety and quality of the service
  • You will perform routine tasks related to clean up and sanitation of kitchen, dining or serving areas
  • You will prepare, serve and store food in accordance with facility policies
  • You will utilize service methods and food handling techniques to ensure quality

What qualifications you will need:

  • High School Degree / Equivalent preferred
  • 1 year of food handling experience preferred
  • Food Handlers or ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of hire

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).

Parkridge East Hospital is a 120+ bed facility in East Ridge. We provide a full range of medical and surgical services. These services include orthopedics and robotic surgery. We have a 24/7 Emergency Department. This ED is recognized by the Society of Chest Pain Centers as an Accredited Chest Pain Center. The facility also offers obstetrical care and complex gynecological procedures. We also hold a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Specialized providers in the NICU include neonatologists, neonatal nurses and respiratory therapists. These staff are on site at all times. Visit us for excellent general and OB care!
