MANAGER - ACCOUNTING

What's the position?

We are looking for a candidate to join our accounting department, who will be responsible for all businesses and geographies, including but not limited to the following functions:

Coordinate the month-end close process, including preparation and/or review, as appropriate, of all monthly journal entries, and all account reconciliations
• Ensure the financial records remain accurate while meeting reporting deadlines
• Review revenue cycle accounting in coordination with the Manager, Revenue Audit
• Evaluate transactions to ensure proper US GAAP reporting
• Supervise and train the A/P and A/R staff member(s) and review coding of invoices
• Collaborate with all pertinent areas of Hard Rock International (HRI) and Seminole Hard Rock Support Services (SHRSS) to ensure all necessary entries are recorded
• Maintain intercompany accounts and reporting between HRD and HRI
• Assist in the compilation and preparation of support for internal audits, year-end external audits, and annual income tax returns for federal and state entities
• Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements
• Establish internal controls, policies and procedures for accounting functions
• Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of scalable Netsuite processes to facilitate timely and accurate financial reporting
• Participate in acquisition implementations including data migration into Netsuite
• Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures
• Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses and other special projects as assigned

What we are looking for?

Required and preferred candidate skills and experience:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• A CPA qualification or eligibility to sit for the exam preferred
• Minimum five (5) years' experience in GL accounting and financial reporting
• Experience in publicly traded and/or start-up organizations
• Background working within a GAAP accounting and SOX controls environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting, while balancing multiple projects at any given time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel
• Experience with Netsuite ERP highly desired
