Job Summary:

The Accounting Analyst position will assist with a wide range of accounting tasks with a focus on inventory accounting. The position is in the Overland Park Corporate Office and works closely with the Warehouse and Procurement teams to ensure accuracy of inventory on the financial statements.

What you will be doing:

• Maintaining accuracy of the inventory ledger
• Assist with monthly close process
• Processing physical inventory counts
• Coordinating with others to resolve inventory discrepancies (research PO receipts and invoices)
• Recommending improvements to various accounting processes and systems
• Assist with requests from external auditors for the financial audit
• Streamline processes and ensure internal controls are implemented

What You Need For This Position:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Experience with accounting software
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and ability to process large amounts of data
• Ability to complete tasks with minimal assistance from management
• Excellent communication skills
• Good problem-solving and time management skills
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis
