Position description

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging is seeking a board certified or board eligible Interventional Radiologist for a faculty position at UCSF/Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG). The selected candidate will be appointed at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the Clinical X, in-Residence, or HS Clinical series depending on qualifications and interests.

The candidate should demonstrate a commitment to building a strong academic career and excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research. The selected candidate will supervise trainees and provide outstanding teaching to medical students, residents, and fellows at a top radiology training program in the country. To accomplish this, the department seeks candidates who have clinical expertise in interventional radiology. The selected candidate will provide clinical services primarily at the Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG) but may also include clinical work at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center; UCSF Moffitt/Long Hospital; Precision Care Medical Building and Mission Bay hospitals; and other UCSF Health and UCSF affiliated sites.

The position requires an MD degree (or equivalent), ability to practice medicine in California, expertise in interventional radiology, and completion of ACGME-accredited residency or fellowship training in interventional radiology. Applicants are expected to be board certified (or eligible) in Radiology and to obtain a Certificate of Added Qualification in Interventional Radiology (when eligible). The requirements are to be met before the start of the faculty appointment. Applicants must list all of these qualifications (or if pending) on their CV upon submission.

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5: https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/2022-23/oct-2022-salary-scales/t5-summary.pdf. The minimum base salary range for this position is $135,700-$360,600. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan (https://ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/_files/apm/apm-670.pdf) which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
