Data Scientist, Senior

The Opportunity:

As a data scientist, you're excited at the prospect of unlocking the secrets held by a data set, and you're fascinated by the possibilities presented by IoT, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. In an increasingly connected world, massive amounts of structured and unstructured data open new opportunities. As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you can help turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. Across private and public sectors-from fraud detection to cancer research to national intelligence-we need you to help find the answers in the data.

On our team, you'll use your analytical skills and data science knowledge to create real-world impact. You'll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You'll develop algorithms and systems and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn sets of disparate data points into objective answers to help clients make informed decisions. Ultimately, you'll provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used. This position requires the employee to work at one of the Booz Allen offices or client sites within the U.S. to include the District of Columbia.

You Have:

* 3+ years of experience with using programming languages to manipulate and analyze data, including Python and SQL

* 2+ years of experience with machine learning, data cleansing, and statistical analysis

* Experience with programming in an AWS cloud environment

* Experience with analyzing structured and unstructured data sources and programming in an AWS cloud environment

* Experience with implementing standard NLP methodologies, including TF-IDF or FastText

* Knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Natural Language Processing

* Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP)

* Ability to create reports and present key insights based on analysis

* TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

* Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

* Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, including Terraform or IT configuration management tools, including Ansible

* Experience with a continuous delivery machine-learning project, including Webapp in production and webserver running models

* Master's degree

* Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certification
