Clinical Manager, Maternity - Telecommute in Maryland

This position will lead a care management team while overseeing day-to-day clinical operations and health plan clinical initiatives to support achieving quality and affordability targets. The Manager, Clinical Care Management will manage a program, region, including process improvement, execution of clinical decision processes, clinical care management team management, including performance management and implementation of program initiatives. All case management/ coordination activities will be in alignment with evidence-based guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Lead and manage regional clinical care management teams comprised of RNs, Behavioral Health Care Managers and Community Health Worker
  • Hire, develop and coach clinical care management team members to set team direction, resolve issues, monitor adherence to state and federal contract requirements and provide guidance to team members
  • Identify, select, structure, and prioritize process improvement projects, ultimately implementing changes to meet program requirements
  • Investigate non-standard requests and problems to make recommendations to leadership
  • Acts as interface with functional teams and partners to coordinate workflow processes and implementation plans
  • Review data and facts to identify and solve issues, mitigate risks, prioritize teams' workloads, and assign direction for ad hoc projects needed
  • Carry member case load as needed
  • Telecommuter with 15%-20% field

Required Qualifications:



  • Current, unrestricted, independent licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland
  • 5+ years of Clinical Experience in Maternity/NICU
  • 3+ years of Leadership Experience, including oversight of case management and experience in team-based care
  • 3+ years of experience with Medicaid and Medicare populations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid benefits
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in nursing
  • Experience working in team-based care
  • Experience working in Managed Care
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a matrix organization
