Department Overview

The Coworkersof Electric Operations ensure the delivery of safe and reliable electric service to our customers. Electric Operations is responsible for every aspect of PG&E's electric distribution and transmission operations, including planning, engineering, maintenance and construction, asset management, business planning, restoration and emergency response.

Position Summary

Performs quality assurance audits for program compliance to ensure processes meet the required regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.Develops written reports which describe audit findings and are used to communicate to various levels of management.

Develops and updates internal auditing and quality improvement processes and strives to verify and document PG&E's overall effectiveness related to regulatory mandates and internal compliance standards. Supports regulatory agencies on inspections or audits and provide information to them as required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assists in the development of audit work package including audit work documents, checklists, sampling plan, forms, and related documents.
  • Collects, verifies, and analyzes information relevant to audit objectives, scope and criteria, including information relative to interfaces between functions, activities, and processes.
  • Conducts audit opening, closing, and post report meetings.
  • Develops and implements local area annual compliance audit plan including information and data gathering, interview schedule, site visit schedule, associated logistics, and other audit related activities.
  • Develops written audit reports Matrix describing audit findings, observations, and trends for client and management review.
  • Evaluates audit evidence to determine audit findings, including identification of opportunities for improvement. May participate in regulatory inspections or audits.
  • Participates, as a team member on procedure, process, or system type audits. Performs as lead auditor in compliance type audits.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Two plus (2+) years of relevant experience
  • ISA Certified Arborist
  • Travel requirements vary depending on assigned area of business.

Desired:

  • Experience in compliance, 1 year
  • Experience in risk management, 1 year
  • Experience in utility operations, or related, 1 year
