Job Description:

The successful candidate will provide Operational Logistics Services to support mission requirements at Port Hueneme. The candidate is responsible for the following:



  • Manage a product's life cycle from design to disposal
  • Direct the allocation of materials, supplies, and products
  • Develop business relationships with suppliers and clients
  • Understand client's needs and how to meet them
  • Review logistical functions and identify areas for improvement
  • Propose strategies to minimize the cost or time required to transport goods
  • Oversee activities that include purchasing, transportation, inventory, and warehousing
  • Use of Microsoft Excel to plan and track the movement of products, and manage logistical functions, such as procurement, inventory management, and other supply chain planning and management systems
  • Perform Logistics Assessments (LOGSATS) in support of fleet readiness during avail periods.
  • Onboard Repair Parts Assessment (OBRPSAT)
  • Publications Assessment (PUBSAT)
  • Maintenance Assistance Modules Assessment (MAMSAT)
  • Combat Systems Test Equipment Assessment (TESAT)
  • Vertical Launch System Assessments (VLS SAT)
  • When CEC is onboard Logistics Groom (CEC Groom).


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must have an active U.S. Security Clearance level Secret
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3 or more years in coordinating, planning, tracking, and scheduling
  • Asset Tracker and PARTS Databases
  • Microsoft Office (Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Demonstrated experience assessing program acquisition and sustainment strategies and determining appropriate logistic product support strategy
  • Demonstrated experience in the technical documentation life cycle development, distribution, and disposal
  • Demonstrated experience with the development, maintenance, and production of one or more of the following Logistic Program Management plans or presentations: Integrated Logistic Support Plan, Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Interim Logistic Support Plans, DMSMS Management Plans, Supply Management Plans, Technical Bulletins, User Logistics Support Summaries, Program Review Technical Presentations
  • Experience using Integrated Development Environments (IDE) to develop or maintain logistic products



Security Clearance:

Applicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance. Selected candidates will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a DoD government-granted security clearance. Individuals will be subject to a background investigation including but not limited to, criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
