Introduction to the job
The mission of the System Integration department is to integrate modules and software into a proto system and prove that the system can meet the specifications. As a proto integrator you are responsible for securing maximum utilization of your proto system.
This position may require access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require the Company to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
Role and responsibilities
As a proto integrator you will define and manage the daily planning on your proto. In close collaboration with a team of System Integration engineers and Development engineers you plan, report out and escalate where needed on the daily proto plan. With your Project Leader you will plan and prepare defined Integration Packages for the proto system mid-term plan.
On this position you will be responsible for:
Create and maintain proto integration plan (mid-term) for at least 1 proto system in line with the product development master plan.
Create and maintain a daily plan for at least 1 proto system based on the mid-term proto integration plan.
Daily management of proto integration.
Be the first point of contact for obstacles preventing progress.
Set priorities and adjust plan in case of disturbances.
Report out on status of the proto system(s) in close collaboration with your team of System Integration engineers.
Issue Management.
Make sure all issues found on proto systems are properly diagnosed and reported.
Chair product integration issue management meeting.
Machine Performance and Configuration Control.
Plan the hardware and software configuration of the proto system over time.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience into the direction of Mechanical, Mechatronics, Physics, Aerospace or Electrical Engineering.
At least 3 years of experience in a relevant multi-disciplinary technical work environment.
Experience with leading a small project is a plus.
Knowledge of (recovery) sequences, metrology and measurement systems and/or complex system troubleshoot and diagnosis is a plus.
Knowledge of system integration competences is a plus.
