Responsibilities:
- Manage the architectural design, planning, and testing of products or solutions within a specific area of expertise; lead development and maintenance all technical standards for a specific technology discipline
- Maintain deep technical and business knowledge of current industry directions and trends for a specific discipline; provide detailed TCO and ROI structure for current and proposed technologies
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Architecture, Operations teams and well as vendors in various Delivery Projects and technology solutions; create technology engineering proposals for to improve the reliability, performance or capability of technology solutions required by the business
- Evaluate the current architecture and develop action plans to make necessary improvements in line with industry best practices and standards
- Provide input on the overall technology plan for the organization, ensuring specific technologies integrate effectively with other aspects of the network security technical infrastructure; facilitate last tier support for operations and support teams, including root cause analysis and preventative analysis
- Collaborate with various technology teams to develop operational run books and other documentation required to support all deployed technology standards; lead a technology team while providing leadership and technology direction to senior engineers and technology staff; analyze, understand, and identify the best design for a technical solution with respect to the tradeoffs of architectural principals including performance, cost effectiveness, availability and operability
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of recent and relevant IT and IT security experience, with a good understanding of infrastructure and network connectivity
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
- Experience in supporting information security operations, specifically monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining mission critical networks and information systems; prior experience in security engineering design, documentation, and best practices; Understand enterprise architecture frameworks and can independently author and assess technical architectures; possess a holistic understanding of attack vectors, current threats, and remediation strategies
- Understanding of Platform and Infrastructure as a service element; knowledge and alignment of business strategies and needs with technology directions and trend as well as application and device controls and host level firewalls; expert level coding experience in PowerShell, Python, JavaScript or equivalent; solid understanding of various infrastructure and data security processes, procedures, approaches, tools and design patterns
- Demonstrated experience in vulnerability scanning and related products such as Qualys; working knowledge in Malware & Anti-virus architecture and engineering like Symantec AV or MS defender; comprehension of configuration management tools such as SCCM, MECM, Microsoft Endpoint Manager or similar; proficient in Data Loss/Leakage protection architecture and engineering like Symantec DLP, Digital Guardian; knowledge on integration with Web Proxy and Email Infra
- Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations and able to apply multiple technical solutions to business problems; capacity to translate business needs into solution engineering requirements and estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives; able to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies
