The department oversees the delivery of timely, accurate, and relevant financial data and analysis to support strategic decision making and compliance with financial reporting requirements. The work of this high-profile team will provide the successful candidate with challenge and variety as well as exposure to key individuals throughout the company. Position Summary The Accounting Manager is a high-profile position and ideal for a candidate who enjoys a fast-paced and challenging work environment. We are looking for a strong leader that will develop and maintain key relationships and execute on a vision to enable the group to perform in line with a world-class accounting department. This position provides an excellent overview of both the company and the utility industry and opens the door to many other opportunities within PG&E. This role reviews and provides guidance/coaching on all aspects of accounting, including journal entries, disclosures, documentation, and IT systems. The successful candidate will work with business partners to evaluate potential opportunities and challenges using their understanding of technical accounting and then synthesize research, provide perspective and develop implications for line of business and/or company. The successful candidate will lead ad hoc teams, coach junior employees and provide thought leadership to Corporate Accounting. Corporate Accounting plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of PG&E's financial information. You will work with an awesome team that is agile, motivated, dedicated and skilled.
