Application Support Analyst

Come join our team for an excellent role! We are looking for Onsite Support Analyst.

Cognizant is looking for Onsite Support Analyst for our clients. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status quo and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies.

Note-Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring company sponsorship now or at any time in the future.

Location- Richmond, VA

Exp Required- 3- 8 years

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

For Onsite



  • Ability to maintain ticket levels within SLA's
  • Ability to debug and troubleshoot through basic problems
  • Ability to appropriately use team support documentation
  • Ability to resolve tickets in our systems with accuracy and completeness


  • Ability to utilize the following tools: SQL Transmitter, DB artisan, Teradata
  • Ability to write knowledge base articles and be able to write to the audience


  • Ability to monitor systems and application performance in order to highlight problems or suggest further improvements
  • Ability to do independent analysis and decision making


  • Ability to evaluate and prioritize multiple tasks and stay organized


  • Ability to effectively track and report on the progress of work
  • Ability to do basic data analysis and trending including Service-Now reporting & monitoring
  • Strong communications skills
  • Actively participate in Support Center of Excellence
  • Able to perform onsite / offshore coordination role to bridge the knowledge gap between Cognizant India and CarMax onsite team
  • Able to document the play book and transition the knowledge to India team
  • Able to record the KT sessions for future reference
