Senior Associate, DevOps Engineer

KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate, DevOps to join our Advisory Tech-Product Realization practice area.

Responsibilities:

  • Interface directly with the product owner and solution teams, executing against approved architectures, and adhering to existing standards around security, automation, and quality, while collaborating with design and development teams to identify and deploy optimal cloud solutions and deploy modular cloud -based systems
  • Identify, analyze and resolve cloud infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
  • Participate in Agile and Sprint activities, in partnership with scrum masters, to deliver enterprise-grade applications/products in line with business requirements while maintaining high standards in writing quality scalable and supportable code, complete with appropriate peer review, documentation, and operationalization aspects in a CI/CD environment
  • Maintain knowledge and awareness of industry trends within application development, data analytics, cloud computing, virtualization, containerization, hosted services, multi-tenant cloud infrastructures, and data storage systems
  • Contribute to software architectural discussions, influencing decisions, and collaborating with peers to maintain consistency across the organization and participate in firm-wide and/or Advisory-wide meetings to stay ahead of emerging trends

Qualifications:

  • Minimum five years of progressive experience with Software Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure or Software Architecture with a minimum of two years of experience with Terraform and CI/CD
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in Engineering, Computer Science
  • Experience in Agile methods and techniques, including Scrum or Kanban with demonstrated knowledge
  • Expertise in Azure Cloud Services, Kubernetes (AKS), Infrastructure As Code, Azure Networking, and Azure DevOps
  • Excellent problem solving skills, self motivated, able to work efficiently independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills of complex information in an easy to understand format
