Sodexo Healthcare has an exciting opportunity for a highly passionate Training Manager 1 at ProMedica located in Toledo, Ohio. ProMedica serves a 27-county area in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.

There may be opportunities to collaborate with other Training Managers and help facilitate training for our frontline workers. This Training Manager will create, develop, and implement Sodexo training programs for managers per session. Additional responsibilities will include maintaining documentation of the following: recruiting, new hire onboarding, training records, QA documentation, and Third-Party Satisfaction records.

The successful candidate will:

    collaborate with the Client Executive in organizing and conducting new hire onboarding and employee orientation;
  • deliver annual training for existing staff as well as educational programs in connection with management for promotional development;
  • maintain records of training activities and the progress of each trainee;
  • develop and maintain employee relationships by interacting regularly with departments;
  • develop strategic plans;
  • create a positive environment; and/or
  • ensure Sodexo standards are met.
  • be responsible for driving patient satisfaction and HCAHPS scores
  • be responsible for motivating employees and driving employee engagement
  • effectively support the Unit Operating System
  • support a diverse and inclusive workforce
  • support Food leadership team in all capacities
  • assist in recruiting

  • participate in weekly and monthly job fairs;
  • develop and implement training content/presentations;
  • conduct on-going trainings weekly and monthly across the healthcare system;
  • stay focused and organized while juggling multiple projects/deadlines;
  • communicate effectively with management and human resources staff;
  • be ability to carefully handle confidential or time-sensitive information.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

  • Ideal candidates will have prior Food Services / experience in a healthcare environment and excellent presentation skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and SharePoint;
  • Detailed oriented, flexible, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities;
  • The ability to engage large and small audiences is desired;
  • excellent organization, communication and project management skills.

Employees in Healthcare and Seniors are required to be fully vaccinated as a term and condition of employment at Sodexo no later than February 28, 2022, absent a legally required exception, and are required to report their vaccination status and upload proof of vaccination via an online portal.

    • After February 28, you must be fully vaccinated before you can start work. Fully vaccinated by February 28 means:
