Education:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study or equivalent years of related work experience required
Work Experiences
2+ years of digital design experience preferred
Skills:
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict deadlines
- Professional demeanor, effective listener, clear presenter and succinct writer
- Ability to analyze, articulate, and solve complex problems and concepts to make effective business decisions
- Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internally and externally
- Ability to effectively prioritize workload in a frequently changing environment while remaining detailed and organized
- Working knowledge of design software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) and proficient in word processing software
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS and familiar with use of a content management system
Responsibilities:
- Design digital content for Academy.com using brand-specific assets, SEO & UX standards, and Merchandising initiatives
- Work closely with site-merchants, graphic designers, developers and analysts to create cohesive stories
- Utilize content management systems and publishing tools to create digital content
- Create SEO friendly landing pages in order to increase the company's natural search rankings
- Partner with the User Experience team to ensure content is ADA Compliant and Accessible
- Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules
- Duties may change; team member may be required to perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements & Attendance
- Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties
- Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures and rules governing professional staff behavior
- Regular attendance required
