Save Job Job Saved Material Handlers are responsible for tracking warehouse stock, staging material for each production value stream and returning material to the warehouse after production is complete. They are also responsible for cycle counting and picking of material out of SAP for completed process orders and are expected to be an active contributor to the inventory control processes in the facility. 3rd shift team members receive a 1.75/hour shift premium. Material Handlers will be expected to:

  • Operate various machinery including forklifts (stand up and seated), pallet jacks, drum pickers and a personalized manlift to handle materials and inventory.
  • Be responsible for using a pick list to pick and deliver material between all departments and to follow the established routes to deliver material to the proper locations
  • Use a computer and understand the programs
  • Perform cycle counts and audits as required or requested following proper procedures
  • Comply with all safety, 5S and health policies and procedures
  • Be a team player and actively contribute to problem solving through High Performance Teams (HPT)
  • Communicate with appropriate people (Logistics Leader or Value Stream Lead responsible for materials) on discrepancies and inventory below minimum level
  • Maintain Quality of parts while in transit to cell ensuring the correct quantity and containers are used and parts are handled correctly
  • Help develop and sustain revised material routes and standard work to ensure materials are delivered in a timely manner *The above descriptions are not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities.   • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • The ability to safely lift-up to 50 pounds.
  • Availability to work overtime when needed.
  • Must be able to work 3rd shift (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Sunday-Thursday)
  • Able to understand hazardous material identification systems and spill prevention programs
  • Knowledge and demonstration of continuous improvement techniques
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
  • Must be able to count accurately
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be exact and thorough
  • Detail oriented
  • Self-motivated
  • Team player
  • Strong time management skills Non-Mandatory Qualifications
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Scan gun experience is a plus
  • Prior experience in a similar role is a plus
