Junior Financial Specialist

St. Michael's Inc. has an opportunity for an experienced Junior Financial Specialist in the Tampa, FL area in support of a large defense organization. The selected candidate shall assist in providing financial analyst and fund control support services to the client, must possess an uncompromising work ethic, and be able to align with St. Michael's core values of Excellence in Reputation, Candor, Commitment, Teamwork, and Dependability.

Active Clearance required: Secret

Required:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated knowledge in automated systems.

Duties Include:

• Receipt of Funding Documents through electronic file transmission and accepting them into daily work flow.
• Validating that funds are available through the Electronic Funds Distribution (EFD) report and building pivot table to verify amounts.
• Executing tasks to move funds within EFD and then posting funds within a Department of Defense Accounting system - DEAMS, GFEBS, SOMARDS, PBASS, or BQ.
• Working with PEO Contract staff to resolve potential data errors on funding documents.
• Maintain a work log of funding documents and posting work to correct data base file locations.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in any field.
