Traffic Director/Flagger

Waste Connections is looking to hire an Experienced Traffic Director/Flagger to work at our Transfer Station in Vancouver, Washington.

**Rate of Pay is $18.50/HR starting and will increase to $19.00 after 90 day Probationary period. Hours are Monday - Friday 9:30am-6:00Pm Overtime is available often.**

Responsibilities Include:

• Spotting and helping to direct customers and work trucks to appropriate dump sites.

• Traffic management - moving signs and cones

• Cleaning equipment - sweeping/power washing

• General site cleanup as needed

• Friendly customer service

Requirements:

• At least 2+ years of work experience, preferably in a labor type position.

• The ability to lift up to 75 pounds

• Experience operating equipment is a plus

• Ability to work in all weather conditions throughout entire shift

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Exposed to different weather year round.

• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 to 75 + pounds.

• Ability to operate heavy equipment, skid steer and forklift safety.

• Knowledge of light and heavy equipment operation and maintenance.

• Ability to use hand and power tools applicable to trade.
