Role: Senior Mainframe Developer Cognizant is looking for a Senior Mainframe Developer for developing customized product for our clients. The role is expected to drive technology discussions and analyze the current landscape for gaps in addressing business needs. Job summary Strong mainframe knowledge and who will manage the customer on critical issues /escalations/fallouts from Mainframe app migration phases and will manage the mainframe AD team members. The primary scope of work involves working on the Change Tickets for the Legacy Life Admin Systems created by the Business users for any defect/issue observed in the system. The work will also involve supporting system enhancements and migration work for the legacy applications. The resource will be required to work on Mainframe platform and should have good knowledge of coding in COBOL, JCL and VSAM and should be familiar with the commonly used mainframe utilities like IEBGENER SORT File-aid and file compare utilities.
