From Unmanned flight vehicles to potential space travel Avionic systems are becoming more complicated and the results are impressive. ENSCO Avionics, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer skilled in Model Based Design of embedded control system software. You will be part of a technical team that supports Model-Based Development activities for real-time mission and safety critical embedded control systems.

Responsibilities include simulating control system applications and functionalities using Model-Based development tools and techniques. The work will be performed in a team environment utilizing the Simulink software development suite. The tasks will include the generation and review of software requirements, modeling software functions, debugging, and documentation. You will be exposed to the full system design which is developed with the MagicDraw tool suite.

Qualifications Required (Skills)


  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent, with a minimum of 5 years' related experience
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Experience with Model-Based Development (MBD) environments and tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, etc.
  • Experience with Avionic embedded control systems
  • Excellent verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate effectively in teleconferences with suppliers, clients and colleagues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including working in team environments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance is required for this position, for which, you must be a U.S. Citizen

Qualifications Desired


  • Experience with the MagicDraw System Design Tool Suite
  • Experience with Systems Modeling Language SsyML
  • Experience with Guidance, Navigation, and Control GNC
  • Experience with Configuration systems such as RAZOR, Synergy, and SVN
  • Experience with Requirements Tools such as DOORS
  • Active DOD Secret Security Clearance
