Sodexo has an opening for an Accounting Analyst with our Convenience Solutions Accounting team which islocated at our Financial Shared Services Center in Buffalo, NY which handles accounting for all of our North American operations. Within the center there are many departments and positions so there's opportunities for growth & advancement.

This role will work a hybrid schedule averaging three days in the office and two days from home plus 10 work from anywhere days- this is on top of vacation, holidays and personal days.

The successful candidate will:

    Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, Sodexo policies and procedures, and client contracts for Micro Markets, Offices Refreshment Services/Pantry, Vending GPO and Vend Management
  • Act as a subject matter expert for all lines of revenue in the department; and ensures timely resolution of issues.
  • Coordinate with Convenience Solutions' Customer Service Team (located in Texas) for all new locations/machines added
  • Oversee the Weekly sales posting process for Vend Management (encompasses 12 SAP transactions & import to Convenience Solutions Dashboard: Consol) to ensure timely financial reporting accuracy.
  • Prepare and review Balance Sheet reconciliations to maintain integrity of Sodexo balance sheet
  • Lead special accounting projects including analysis and testing of new systems
  • Develop process and system improvement specifications.
  • Train and guide accountants and field operators in accounting procedures, processes, system applications and other areas.
  • Make recommendations on staff development needs, workload assignments and priorities.
  • Review that current processes are in line with company policies and recommends changes to policy.
  • Instruct department or team on new systems and develops work/desk procedures
  • Assist with the accounting integration of new Convenience Solutions segment growth

Position Summary

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Functional Experience - 2 years
