KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Associate in Financial Services Solutions for our practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Work within a global team to design, build and maintain solutions in Java and SQL for large financial institutions
  • Design and code Java algorithms for various internal projects
  • Design and code relational data models and SQL across a variety of database servers and technologies
  • Adapt to client methodologies, which may include internal systems, tooling and delivery models
  • Undertake new engineering roles, which may include non-Java languages or technologies
  • Work within a fast-paced Agile oriented methodology where priorities and projects may shift quickly

Qualifications:

  • Minimum four years of recent experience in core Java development, with an in-depth understanding of algorithms, data structures and patterns in addition to experience in Java frameworks, such as Spring or SpringBoot, including Web Service/API creation; Cloud experience, such as Azure, AWS or GCP a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college/university; financial experience preferred, particularly in Capital Markets & Regulatory/Risk environments
  • Relational data modeling experience, with demonstrated knowledge of SQL; front end expertise with React or Angular as well as reporting skills with a visualization or analytics package such as Tableau or Alteryx a plus; team oriented with excellent analytic skills and the desire and ability to learn new programming languages and approaches
  • Ability to formulate and express ideas clearly and effectively in verbal and written presentations
  • Travel may be up to 80-100%
