Associate Director, Editor - Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)

KPMG is currently seeking an ESG writer/editor to join our Thought Leadership organization. KPMG is deeply committed to ESG, both and as an advisor to leading organizations. Our service assists clients in every aspect of their ESG initiatives and is an important growth opportunity for KPMG. The ESG editor/writer will be responsible for generating white papers, POVs, blogs, videos and other content that demonstrate our distinctive capabilities and insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Impact team to define and execute a content strategy for ESG
  • Report, write and edit white papers and other content; Top-edit content from other writers
  • Connect and collaborate with KPMG's ESG experts to develop distinctive insights on ESG topics
  • Assign and manage research to build the fact base to support our POVs
  • Manage projects through design and production
  • Build your platform as the ESG content guru of KPMG Advisory

Qualifications:

  • Minimum ten years of experience in writing, editing, content production and editorial leadership
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; advanced degree preferred
  • Solid background in business journalism preferred; experience in ESG a huge plus
  • Experience in the development and successful execution of content strategies; prior experience collaborating with and managing expectations of senior business leaders a plus
  • Creative thinker, who is able to work with KPMG subject-matter experts to shape original, provocative and compelling story lines
  • Self-motivated, flexible problem solver, who can keep the trains running (managing the routine), but can also adapt quickly and find alternative ways to get the work done; ability to act as a trusted, strategic adviser to top professionals
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
