We are looking for talented, curious, proactive, energetic, and passionate individuals who embraces challenges and is a proven problem solver. As a UI Engineer, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team inventing, designing, building, and testinghighly functional, secure, scalable, andinteractiveuser interfaces. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, test engineers, dev-ops, operations, and other team members from the product ideation stage to production deployment and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Front End Development - contribute to the design rich user interfaces, workflows, reusable UI components, and the APIs that the front end will consume

• Works independently with minimal insight to develop software that conforms to Visa's high standards of security, quality, performance, resiliency, and compliance.

• Create design artifacts and work with senior members of the team to review and adjust

• Support test engineers and operation teams in troubleshooting, defect research, issue root cause analysis, and other related activities

• Participate in all Agile Scrum Ceremonies and white boarding sessions

• Contribute reusable UI components to the UI Platform used by teams across Visa

• Stay up to date and evaluate latest and greatest UI technology trends

• Participate in demos and code reviews

MinimumQualifications

• B.S. in Computer Scienceor related degree with 2+ years ofsoftware developmentexperience

• Experience withJavaScript, ES6, HTML5, CSS3, CSS4, JSON

• Experienceintegrating with RESTAPIs

• Experience with front-end technologies/frameworks like ReactJSandAngular

• Experience working within a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipeline

• Experience working with the Agile Scrum Development methodology

Preferred Qualifications

• B.S. in CS or related degree with 4+ years of experience or Master with 2+ years

• Expert with JavaScript, ES6, HTML5, CSS3, CSS4, JSON

• Expert knowledge of ReactJS or Angular

• Expert in consuming REST APIs

• Experience diagramming solutions (flow, block, logical)

• Experience designing solutions that are secure, resilient, and scalable

• Knowledgeableof JEST, Linting, Babel,WebPack,and Sagas

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
