A Little About Us

We are the Lifestyle Labs team.  This is a rare opportunity where you get to build, and rapidly iterate on, green-field product ideas for the Lifestyle space - think : style, travel, food, relationships, fitness. The person who fills this role would be central to the entire creation process :   from ideation and prototype development, to observing user studies, and then developing a full blown app, every 3 months!

We are turning 'old school' development on its head - we optimize for exploring quickly, to maximize our chances of finding a big idea and discarding those that aren't.   We typically go from viable user-tested wireframes to App Store launch in 4-5 weeks (yes, weeks).   This is a fun and engaging group with no egos where you can just "get sh*t done"

A Lot About You

We're looking for people like this (and you'll get to work with like-minded folks here!):

-   Strong work ethic: you can reject setbacks and enthusiastically persist until our ambitious goals are achieved. You are resourceful and innovative at tackling complex challenges quickly.

-   Flexible and adaptable: you should be able to switch gears in various fast-moving situations,  - and apply yourself to quickly learning new technologies and adopting new methodologies.

-   Communicative: you keep others informed and up to date on your priorities, current tasks and work completed. You encourage constructive criticism about your work, and collaborate with others to deliver.

-   Attention to detail: you take great pride in getting it right.

-   Accountability: you are a results-oriented team player that leads by example, and hold yourself accountable for your performance.  You take absolute ownership, and champion all aspects of customer and product initiatives.

-   "The Customer Comes First" attitude: you have a passionate commitment to the customer and to product quality.  You champion the product and the customer's needs, and drive continuous improvement in both our goals and your own tasks

Your Day

- Work with Product, Design and User Research to ideate, build and iterate on new mobile app product ideas

- Build prototypes quickly that are put in front of users for fast feedback

- Explore new technologies for delivering the best user experiences

- Observe user studies to see how users are responding, and working with Product and Design on prototype updates

- Build products that delight people: simple on the surface, running smoothly under the hood

Requirements

- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent

- Confident with object-oriented programming

- Previous mobile app development experience (ideally 2 years or more)

- You're passionate about the user experience

Nice to have

- You're experienced with iOS and have built apps that are in the Play Store

- A familiarity with building and/or using web-based API's

- You have experience building user interfaces of some kind

- Experience in SQL and NoSQL environments
